Leading to Beyond Ready

Leading to Beyond Ready is a 4-H PYD Academy that is designed for 4-H Program Leaders and their key colleagues to prepare for leading the readiness initiative and developing action plans at the land grant institution (LGU) level. This academy is designed as a workshop experience that includes opportunities for engagement across and within our regions. The objectives for our time together include: 

✔ Level set and frame readiness 

✔ Articulate our bold goal 

✔ Share common language 

✔ Prepare for leading an initiative 

✔ Lay groundwork for action plans 

✔ Share checklists and tools to guide implementation 

✔ Inform measurement and evaluation to gauge our progress and impact

In addition to this academy, we encourage you and your 4-H Readiness teams to attend 4-H PYD Spotlight Day: Beyond Ready to Thrive on Monday, October 14 prior to the NAE4-HYDP Conference in Boise. A virtual option is available for those not planning to attend the conference. This year's 4-H PYD Spotlight Day will provide important research-based context for the Beyond Ready initiative. 4-H PYD Academy equips 4-H and other youth development professionals with the essential knowledge and skills to plan, implement, and evaluate high-quality youth development programs that help youth thrive. 4-H PYD Academy is an output of the 4-H PLWG Chartered Committee on Positive Youth Development. 4-H PYD Academy learning opportunities are convened and supported by National 4-H Council in collaboration with Extension 4-H professionals from across the country.
